"Put your event on our calendar: There is a new way to submit events to The News & Observer's Features section calendars using triangle.com. Our process is easy and will let you post events online and submit them for possible publication in print in one step. We no longer accept listings via e-mail or fax for arts, entertainment, faith or home and garden calendars.
Here are the steps to follow:
Type events.triangle.com into your search bar (no www).
Register or log in to the Web site.
Click on "add to our listing" (upper right side).
Fill out the form. If the venue where your event is being held is not in the system, you'll have to add it. Follow the prompts to do so.
Helpful tips:
Before you enter your event, you may want to search for your event to see whether it is already entered. Do this by scrolling your mouse over the word ENJOY. A drop box will then open. Click on EVENTS. Once there you will then type in your event where it says SEARCH EVENTS. This process helps to eliminate any duplication of your event.
Keep your entry short and informative. Include who, what, where, when and why.
To help editors find your event for possible printing in the Weedend; Life, ect.; or Home & Garden sections, please use the keyword tha may best fit your event. Keywords are Fun stuff (for events aimed mainly at children or families), Books, Literary Event, Participatory Dance, Home and Garden, Cooking Classes, Faith Special Services, Faith Classes and Art Openings. These keywords should be typed in the KEYWORDS section as you are adding your event.
Check you entry for accuracy, completeness and spelling.
