The Hallelujah Girls

Hilarity abounds when the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. The action in this rollicking Southern comedy takes place in SPA-DEE-DAH!, the abandoned church-turned-day-spa where this group of friends gathers every Friday afternoon. After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious, and if they're going to change their lives and achieve their dreams, they have to get on it now!

If you loved The Dixie Swim Club (and everyone who saw it, did), from our production last spring, you won't want to miss The Hallelujah Girls. Production dates are March 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10 and 11 in Joslyn Hall on the campus of Carteret Community College in Morehead City, NC. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased in advance or at the door.

This production will not be what you may think! This decidedly adult version of Lewis Carroll's classic tale draws the audience into the shadows of Wonderland and the human psyche.

Everyone is familiar with Alice's antic adventures, and they are all here-but with an arresting difference. From the presumed innocence of the original is drawn a caustic and giddy revelation of the human psyche and the dark, unsettling shadows which can linger there. Freud and Jung, Kafka and Dali, all make their presences felt, in a piece of pure theatre that is full of truth, fun, terror and uncanny pertinence to our own topsy-turvy times. As T.E. Kalem comments: "ALICE is an exemplary instance of how a classic can be made 'new,' and one of the extremely rare instances of a book's being turned into a wholly satisfactory theatrical experience."

 This "Alice" will be performed in the intimate setting of the Beaufort Arts Center located at 204 Turner Street in Beaufort with production dates on April 13, 14 at 8pm, 15 at 2pm & 20, 21 at 8pm and 22 at 2pm.

You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown

 Auditions are scheduled for April 16 and 17 beginning at 6:30 pm in Joslyn Hall on the Campus of the Cartert Community College. Only Middle or High School studens will be cast in this show. Production dates are June 14, 15, 16, 17 and 21, 22 and 23.
